Custom Elements XML
By appending the following node to the elm2425.xml file, the custom elements necessary to score Solo Dance lower level national competitions can be accessed in the same database as the standard ISU elements without affecting the checksum values for the disciplines. Download the file here.

In solo dance, the grade of execution for Edge Elements is calculated in a similar manner to lifts in couples dance, where combinations have the GOE summed based on the base value of each component move (see below for example). To achieve this effect with custom element codes, such as those needed to implement the edge element suite, Li must be appended to the ISU prescribed element code in order for the ISU scoring software to sum the GOEs as required. Therefore, when reading the SOV for solo dance, disregard any occurrence of Li.
This does not, in any way, reflect the element being performed differently, and is solely to ensure correct calculation of the GOE by the ISU judging software.
